Hasn’t it already been proven by science to be like 1000x less efficient than a train?

Yeah, but like, with a train you need to share spaces

The car may travel at 127 mph in the tunnel (like in the video), but it still needs to slow to 40 mph when it leaves the tunnel and proceeds onto surface streets. If a lot of cars use the tunnel, it will cause a huge traffic jam at the end. It would be just like cars travelling at high speed on an interstate reaching a bottleneck.
I am not saying that this concept is impossible; there just needs to be some sort of a large holding area or transition area at both ends of the tunnel.
